The rod seal is the most critical seal on any type of fluid power equipment preventing leakage of fluid from within the cylinder to the outside.

Leakage through the rod seal can reduce equipment performance, and in extreme cases can cause environmental issues. Particular attention should be paid to pair the rod seal and the wiper for the best sealing performance.

U-CUPS

  • Single Acting
  • Medium Pressure
  • Back Beveled Lip
  • Non-Symmetrical Design
  • Reduced friction and wear

  • Single Acting
  • High Pressure
  • Back Beveled Lip
  • Non-Symmetrical Design
  • Reduced friction and wear

Positive actuated trapezoidal back-up ring prevents seal extrusion.

  • Single Acting
  • High Pressure
  • Back Beveled Lip
  • Non-Symmetrical Design
  •  Reduced friction and wear

Rectangular back-up ring is positive actuated  prevents extrusion.

  • Single Acting

Secondary lip design improves sealing performance and stabilizes seal.

  • Single Acting
  • High Pressure
  • Back Beveled Lip
  • Non-Symmetrical Design
  • Reduced friction and wear

Rectangular back-up ring is positive actuated prevents extrusion.

Secondary lip design improves sealing performance and stabilizes seal.

  • Single Acting
  • Low to Medium Pressure
  • Knife-Edge Lip
  • Symmetrical Design
  • Reduced friction and wear

Good for worn rods and old equipment.

Good contamination exclusion but reduced sealing performance due to a seal lip design.

  • Single Acting
  • Low  Pressure
  • Back Beveled Lip
  • Symmetrical Design

Low-friction hydraulic and pneumatic applications. Lip design responds to low pressure and provides smooth movement with less breakaway force.

  • Single Acting
  • Low  Pressure
  • Back Beveled Lip
  • Non-Symmetrical Design

  • Single Acting
  • Low  Pressure
  • Back Beveled Lip
  • Non-Symmetrical Design

Lip design responds to low pressure and provides smooth movement with less breakaway force.

Spring-Energized Seals

provide durable and reliable sealing solutions in critical applications and under extreme operating conditions in different industries.

MORE INFORMATION

LOW FRICTION

  • Double Acting
  • Low to Medium Pressure
  • O-ring Energized

  • Double Acting
  • Low to Medium Pressure
  • O-ring Energized

The thinner PTFE cap is designed to better respond to low-pressure sealing.

  • Double Acting
  • Low to Medium Pressure
  • Square Energized

  • Double Acting
  • Low to Medium Pressure
  • O-ring Energized

The contoured PTFE cap is designed to resist extrusion and twisting.

  • Single Acting
  • Low to Medium Pressure
  • O-ring Energized

The secondary lip that gives the seal stability over a long stroke, acts as an excluder and retains fluid film. Can be used as a stand-alone seal.

COMPACT

  • Double Acting
  • High Pressure
  • O-ring Energized
  • Back-ups are positively actuated
  • Designed to retrofit standard O-ring grooves

  • Double Acting
  • Low to Medium Pressure
  • Economical Cost

  • Double Acting
  • Medium to High Pressure
  • Economical Cost
  • Designed with integrated positive actuated back-up rings

  • Double Acting
  • Medium to High Pressure
  • Integrated positive actuated wear rings also acts as back-up rings

  • Double Acting
  • Medium to High Pressure
  • Integrated positive actuated back-up rings
  • Excellent extrusion, shock resistances
  • The energizer design is responsiveness to changing pressures.

  • Double Acting
  • Medium Pressure
  • Integrated positive actuated wear rings also acts as back-up rings
  • Excellent extrusion, shock resistances
  • The energizer design is responsiveness to changing pressures.

  • Single Acting
  • Low to Medium Pressure
  • Hat Seal mainly used in old presses.
  • Replacement seal not recommended for new   designs.

BUFFER ROD SEALS

  • Single Acting
  • Heavy Duty Buffer Seal

The flexible outside static sealing lip, in the front face ensure that pressure can return to the system side of the buffer and prevent build-up of pressure between the rod and buffer seals.

  • Single Acting
  • Heavy-Duty Buffer Seal
  • Rectangular energizer

Designed to protect primary rod seals from pressure spikes with minimal impact on system friction.

  • Double Acting
  • Low to Medium Pressure
  • Square Energized
