Lug butterfly valves feature threaded lugs around the valve body, allowing bolting to pipe flanges on both sides with separate bolts. They are robust and typically made from ductile iron.
These valves fit between two flanges, secured by bolts that align with unthreaded holes on the valve body. The ductile iron construction provides strength, while alignment holes ensure correct positioning during installation.
Similar to alignment hole valves, these have notches on the body’s edge that engage with flange bolts, preventing rotation and ensuring proper alignment.
General-purpose, cost-sensitive systems with mild fluids.
Corrosive or hygienic applications needing durability.
Marine or cavitation-prone systems prioritizing weight and corrosion resistance.
Nitriel for oil/fuel systems or abrasive flows where cost and mechanical strength matter.
EPDM for water, steam, or outdoor applications where weather and temperature resilience are critical.
PTFE is selected for extreme chemical or thermal challenges where universal compatibility justifies the cost.
