SEPCO Air Seal (SAS) is an engineered pneumatic sealing system designed to seal the shafts of equipment where typical contact seals such as packing and or mechanical face seals prove to be too costly to operate and maintain
If compressed air can stop a train we can stop your sealing issues.

Split Air Seals are made for easy installation. Shaft removal and dismantling of machinery are kept to a minimum, thus reducing downtime.
Air Seal (SAS) food grade shaft seal eliminates product loss on food industry equipment. Air Seal design constructed of FDA approved material for product applications within food processing industries.
The SAS CEMA shaft seal is a complete shaft sealing system for CEMA Screw Conveyors.
SAS CEMA is an Air Seal shaft seal design specifically for CEMA (Conveyor Equipment Manufacturing Association)
Standard Sizes 1.00" to 4.438"
Custom Air Seal design available
Benefits
SAS air seal requires compressed air.
Compressed air supply pressure has to be slightly greater than the the system pressure.
The standard SAS is designed so the air flow in and out of the seal is biased based on system requirements, analysis reveals the consistent speed of the airflow through the throttle.
The SAS relies on engineered clearances to develop a uniform sealing pressure and velocity profile using air or gas.
The pressure profile forms a circumferential boundary layer internally that reduces the effects of shaft movement because the throttle is designed to float.
For situations in which angular misalignment may exist, the SAS are engineered to meet your specific requirements and performance expectations of the end user.
The SAS relies on engineered clearances to develop a uniform sealing pressure/velocity profile using air or gas. This eliminates low-pressure areas and mitigates the chance of product ingress into the seal
The throttle creates a uniform velocity profile. Notice the consistent ring around the center in shows the CFD image of the full air flow through the throttle.
The SAS is essentially a noncontact seal.
SAS requires no maintenance as long as air flows continuously to the seal. By design, product does not enter the seal or throttle area. This eliminates the need for maintenance.
Common Markets
Paper mill facing an ongoing problem with a leaking pulper that had significant shaft runout caused by uneven distribution when paper bales were dumped into it.

Air Seal cost the customer nothing it saves them thousands every month.
Dry powder handling machines, by their nature, are difficult to seal. Powders and bulk solids are transported and handled in many industries, including:
Traditional methods the product contacts the sealing element and leads to accelerated wear and seal failure.
The SAS relies on engineered clearances to develop a uniform sealing pressure and velocity profile using air or gas. This eliminates low-pressure areas and mitigates the chance of product ingress into the seal.
